Daniel Tack, a third-generation real estate professional and rising star at Pinnacle Realty, has been recognized by Commercial Observer as one of the industry’s Top Young Professionals. Tack launched his full-time brokerage career in September 2020, navigating a commercial real estate market paralyzed by the pandemic.
“It was tough,” said Tack. “But it gave me a chance to step back and truly learn the fundamentals.”
Real estate runs deep in Tack’s family. His grandfather co-founded Don Alan Realty Associates in Long Island City, and his father, James Tack, is a partner at Pinnacle. Tack began interning at the firm at just 16 years old and later returned after studying at Penn State, drawn back to brokerage by what he calls “a business in my blood.”
Among his early career highlights is the $175 million sale of a 1 million-square-foot Greenpoint development site, brokered between Jack Guttman’s Pearl Realty Management and TF Cornerstone, with Pinnacle representing both sides.
Looking ahead, Tack is focused on expanding Pinnacle’s presence across the outer boroughs. “I want to be a gatekeeper for institutionally owned property,” he said, “offering the kind of local expertise and real-time insight that’s critical in today’s market.”
